Me and my dear ol’ dad…
We’ll never be able to repay him for all the help he’s given us with our Lawrenceville house.
It’s kind of a déjà vu for him because a LONG time ago he used to be an electrician for the city of Pittsburgh and he worked on the traffic lights in Lawrenceville.
That’s his old toolbox he used. It still has the old color code for the lights taped to the inside.
Now, Mark and I are using his old tools to renovate our house…most recently, we needed his old ratchet set to fasten some of the bolts into our new ceiling joists.
Who would have thought that 35 years later, we’d be back in my dad’s old stomping grounds renovating our new house and eating his favorite Frankie’s hot dogs off Butler Street?! 🙂
