Fixing our roof isn’t the hard part, GETTING ON the roof is.
I am not afraid of heights nor am I a fearful person, but it’s a bit scary climbing a ladder from your second story to the roof.
Once we got up there, we were sold…you can see the skyline of downtown Pittsburgh!
I think we need to build a rooftop deck…that or a little lounge area so I can come up here and get a tan!
The goal was to roll out ice and water shield to stop the leaks we’re getting in our back bedroom. It’s just a temporary fix, we plan to redo the roof next year.
Rolling out the sticky tar paper was tedious. Mark and I had to line it up just right…
Then we peeled off the plastic and tried to lay it down without any bubbles.
We were both covered in tar…and that was only 15 minutes into it! Not to mention the sun was BRUTAL. People who do this for a living are tough son-of-a-guns!
