I thought our “dusty days” were over. Remember this picture from when we first did our house demolition???
That man has returned…
Mark is spending his days sanding our drywall.
He mudded and taped all the creases and seams on our second floor, and the sanding smoothes everything out.
I follow behind him and wipe the walls with a damp cloth to remove any extra sanding bits or dust.
We’re trying to get the smoothest surface possible before priming the walls.
The hardest part of this is Mark’s perfectionist tendencies OCD. He’s done a fantastic job with the drywall, but he’s going over it with a fine tooth comb. At this rate, we’ll be able to move in when we qualify for social security.
Pray for us.

It’s probably to late but there are sanders that connect to a vacuum when you are doing drywall that help keep the dust down. Trust me it’s so much better that he has OCD about it. My husband and I agreed for the sake of our marriage we would hire a pro to sand the drywall because he wasn’t OCD enough for me! 😉
Thanks for the tip, Allie! And it’s not too late, we still have to sand the entire first floor! We’ll try out your method.
