Y’all know that my husband, Mark, is the STAR of this DIY blog. You would think that I (being his wife and all) would be his #1 sidekick. Well, he tosses me to the curb when this guy shows up.
Look at them…I swear Mark and my dad are like peas in a pod when working together. We called my dad in because the man could be a professional painter and we need his skills.
We first bought our primer from our favorite person, Jonathan. Mark and I never realized there were different kinds of primer for different kinds of walls…a certain primer for drywall, another for plaster of paris, etc…
Our primer was for new drywall. Before we could take it home, it had to go into this machine. I have no idea what this is really called but I call it the “automatic shaker.”
The machine shook our five-gallon bucket of primer for a good five minutes and then we were ready to go.
As we start the priming process, we’re really taking my dad’s lead. He is neat, meticulous and takes his time. The next several blogs will feature his expertise and the bromance between Mark and my dad. Maybe I should take this opportunity to let the two of them finish the house while I get a pedicure?! 🙂

Great addition to the blog, Courtney. Get that pedicure, sweet girl!
I need it…my toes are nasty! 🙂
I think it’s too cute that your dad and your husband are so close! I’m sure it’s really nice to have your dad around helping out with all of the renovations 🙂
