One of the reasons we bought a rowhouse in Lawrenceville is because we wanted to live in a walkable neighborhood.
Every morning, we Mark walks down to Espresso a Mano and gets us two coffees.
Then, we sit for awhile and admire his handiwork. Sometimes, we do a load or two in our NEW washer and dryer.
All the while, we are ignoring the reality that awaits us downstairs.
Our first floor is still a construction site. (And I know that picture makes us look like hoarders, but I swear we are not.) We know we have to keep plugging away, but we’re so comfortable and cozy upstairs it’s hard to stay motivated.
We need a new incentive. Now that we’re out of my parents’ house we need a new timetable.
Any suggestions???

It is okay to stop and enjoy the view of your handy work for a bit…Motivation comes when you can’t find things in your piles. 🙂
Hahahahaha!! That is exactly right! And my husband LOVES to make piles!
One word Courtney. WOW
Your new incentive is that you need to finish all of your work by the time we move into our house so that you can come show us what to do 🙂
That is a terrific incentive!
You guys have done an amazing job!! Maybe get some of the downstairs squared away before a little niece or nephew will visit? Or not, everyone can hang out upstairs 🙂
Thanks Kelly! You’re right…my little niece or nephew is a great incentive to finish up the house!!!
