I was getting pretty good at jumping through our first floor in a hopscotch like manner to avoid all the holes.
It was a great exercise for my quads.
But those days are gone. Now we’re like regular people with a regular floor that’s nice and smooth and in one piece.
What is DIFFERENT is the CHARACTER of the wood. It’s a throwback…an homage if you will…to the original wood that we found all throughout the house.
Mark salvaged all the beautiful pieces from different rooms and is now patching it together. It might sound strange to some of you, but it’s actually very cool looking. (I know, I know…we have to build the basement door hatch.)
Our next step is to rent a belt sander to refinish it. And then, apparently, we’re redoing our kitchen.
Yep, that’s news to me…but I came home and my husband taped out what he’s going to do.
It was too much for my brain to handle.
