Yes, he is…a DIY genius.
Excuse me for a minute, while I help Mark squeeze his BIG head through the door…his ego is swelling with this post. 🙂
I’m not good at visualizing things, but Mark has said for months that putting that old elevator door on the ceiling would be awesome. He was right.
Mark did it all in one day. I went to work with a huge hole in my living room ceiling.
When I came home, Mark had the door up and put some old Christmas lights behind it so I could “see” his vision.
I love it. We’re going to swap out the hinges with gas pipe and use “LED light tape” instead of Christmas lights. I think the final product will be spectacular! It’s worth saying again…my husband is a genius!

So glad you love the blog!! I could have never envisioned this either…my husband has a gift!
Oh yes he is a genius. He needs to write a book and call it “Imagination, there’s no end to it”. What a guy!
You can be his book agent…Agent Aunt Lorraine!!
Looks great! I would never have thought to put it on the ceiling, but it looks fabulous!
I would have never thought of that either!
