I keep looking around our house thinking, “I can’t believe it…I can’t believe we did this.”
Our house was so dirty and yucky and crappy for so long…
And now, it’s not. π
This DIY home renovation project took a big leap of faith. But I always knew, deep down, that Mark and I could do it.
Same thing goes for this blog, I didn’t know if anyone would read it.
But here we are rocking and rolling…every week I meet someone who reads the blog and wants to say hello!
As for my marriage, I would say PATIENCE and ENCOURAGEMENT is something Mark and I have gotten wayyyyy better at.
It really makes a world of difference when your partner builds you up and lifts you up. It also helps when you dress alike.
I was trying to get Mark to show everyone his new summer loafers. He is going to be so mad that I posted this. π

Your place is looking fantastic. I can remember the way it looked when you first started your blog. Great job, congrats to both of you. So what’s your next project, perhaps following the footsteps of your sister and have little feet running around the great home the two of you created ?? π
I think that would be a wonderful next step. π
Great Job Courtney. The house looks great old friend. You look really happy! Congrats!
Thank you my friend! Hope you are doing great…it’s been a long time!! π
You two did an awesome job!
Thanks Terry…appreciate the compliment!
Courtney I have and will continue to love this blog and everything about our favorite reporter! You both did such a great job on the renovations! You never seem to amaze me!
You are too nice with the compliments! Thanks for following along…many thanks!!
Place looks great! Did you guys install that staircase? Would love to do something just like it in our never-ending renovation in the Northside, if you had any leads into the origins of it’s awesomeness!

We did install it…we ordered it from a place called Acadia Stairs…they’re out of upstate New York. We’re really happy with it — you can find them on Facebook.
The two of you have done so much in a short time span. My remodel has been going on for 11 years. My wife is beyond patient
She sounds like a saint!
