They say anything worth doing is hard. And Mark and I can prove it with all the new wrinkles and lines on our faces.
Is 32 too young to get Botox? Mark is 38 and already scheduled for a much-needed appointment. 🙂
As we try and tie up some of the loose ends of our DIY home renovation project, we are reminiscing about all the CRAZINESS that led us to this!
Remember when we ordered a shower unit but forgot to measure and couldn’t get it through the front door?! (So my dear ol’ Dad had to hold it like that for an hour.)
We got a lot of strange looks from our neighbors as we took the downstairs window apart and shoved the shower through it.
Then there was that time that I was UBER SEXY and wore a garbage bag skirt.
That invention only came after burning the snot out of my leg with paint stripper as I worked on our old wooden doors. (I’m the idiot who wore shorts.)
Mark shed a decent amount of blood throughout this process.
Mostly scrapes and cuts from splintered wood and unfortunate mishaps with the sawza. (Whoops!)
If sweat was gold, we’d be RICH. I don’t think we could put a price tag on the amount of good ol’ fashioned hard work and grit we put into our little house.
Now, if we could only get sponsored by Red Bull and have cases of the energy drink to power us through the rest of the renovation! (You know Mark really wants to get sponsored by Heineken.)

I feel bad for laughing (but only because it is been there done that laughing)! But oh gosh that was fun, and yes anything worth doing is hard. It is fun to walk along with you through this journey. And don’t let Mark did himself of this character lines. (I know he won’t)
