5/8ths drywall is heavy. Like, REALLY heavy.
I know this because Mark complained when I asked him to hold it up for this picture.
Note to self…when Mark complains, pretend you don’t hear him…or give him a Snickers bar, either works. 🙂
Our attic firewall is shaped to the pitch of the roof. It’s not nice and square, so we had to cut the drywall in different shapes to make it fit.
Before screwing it in, Mark put in SafenSound insulation.
Neither Mark nor I are very tall, but this was still a cramped space and Mark had to lay down to get some pieces in.
He had to not fall through the ceiling, try not to smash his head against a nail poking through the roof all while balancing the drywall up and then screwing it in.
It was also like 110 degrees up there. Mark’s favorite word during this project started with an “F.”
And ya know what? It seemed pretty appropriate. 😉

Summer and attics DO NOT mix! Been there, done that. A miserable job!
I am getting why you fell in love with this guy, he is pretty amazing. Even though when completely stressed and exhausted his vocabulary fails him 🙂 I have a tendency to make up swear words, we all do it bless his heart.
Proud of both of you! : ) you guys have struggled through with this house renovation no matter the issue and it looks fantastic
