That was my biggest concern when Pittsburgh Magazine said they wanted to feature our DIY home renovation in their October issue.
I said to Mark…”The other homes featured are like 10 and 20 MILLION dollar renovations…we will look like homeless people!!”
Thankfully, writer Jessica and photographer John were kind to us and made our home look terrific and did not make us look like schmoes. 🙂

You two and the house looked great. Congratulations what a great article, they should of included a picture of the two of you with the black face or hanging off the ladder. 🙂
TV, magazines what’s next perhaps we will be seeing you in the movies ???? 🙂
Thanks Don!
Your home is gorgeous and I congratulate you both, just don’t get a BIG head over this.
We know that if our heads get too big, you will come over and knock us out. 🙂
I read the article online and I love it! I’ve been following your journey for a while now, and you never fail to make me laugh. Also, your niece is so adorable! You and Mark are amazing (and very patient!) and I think it’s so cool you’re planning on renovating another property! I noticed you guys had some cool stairs and railings; my husband is a welder here in Pittsburgh, and his family business does stairs, railings, etc. Basically anything with steel! If you guys are looking for a business closer that NY for things like that, Zottola Fab is right in the Pittsburgh area 😉 This is the website in case you’re interested: http://www.zottolafab.com/!
I can’t wait to keep reading about your adventures!
Thanks Allie!! We’ll have to check out your husband’s business…it sounds great! Thanks for reading!! 🙂
