Well, maybe just a little bit.
But Mark’s weird (and often maddening) habit of saving EVERY. SINGLE. RECEIPT. finally paid off the other day.
We needed to order 3 window blinds for the back bedroom and couldn’t remember the exact make and model we got before.
I said “Why don’t you see if you can find the receipt?”
Receipt-loving Mark did just that.
While we’re on the subject of “maddening qualities our spouse has” I should probably share mine.
I’m obsessed with buying Home Depot gift cards at Giant Eagle to get the fuel perks and then using those cards to buy our construction materials.
Case in point…
We had so many fuel perks, our gas was only 59 cents a gallon.
We filled up Mark’s Volvo XC90 for just $10.
It was a great day. 🙂

I do the Giant Eagle fuel perks thing too! When we remodeled our bathroom, we had free gas for 6 months. But I bought gas cans to make sure that we got the full 30 gallon limit. Yes, I’m that cheap!
I save all of our receipts, too, but they are not NEARLY as organized as Mark’s are, so it will be a true miracle if they ever come in handy. I’m going to keep saving them anyways.
