The Best Things About Your Late 30s & Early 40s

Courtney’s favorite things (at 38 years old!) I now understand the true pleasure of a hot bubble bath with lavender epsom salt (I use Dr. Teal’s), plus a book (currently reading We Were Liars) and a small glass of red wine. This is my favorite way to relax, and I probably do this 4 times a week! Finally found some solid business podcasts and blogs about finance and investing. My favorites are here, here and…

What We’re Loving This Week!

Mark’s favorite slim cut jeans are on sale at JCrew Factory. The feta-tomato dip/pasta bake that’s all over TikTok and Instagram is worth the hype! I actually made my second batch this weekend just because it’s so good. I don’t do fake lashes, but I do use L’Oreal voluminous mascara in all black. It’s been a staple of mine for years, and it’s only seven dollars. 2 Netflix recommendations…Dead To Me and Call My Agent….

Why I Stopped Watching The Real Housewives

I must start by saying that I was (and still kinda am) a HUGE Housewives fan. I loved the New York City crew and I love me some Erika Jane and Lisa Rinna on the Beverly Hills side. About a month ago, I saw there was a new crew…the ladies from Salt Lake City. I hadn’t watched in awhile so I thought I’d try it. Instead of it being a fun escape or a guilty…

Our Kitchen Renovation

Our kitchen was one of the first rooms we renovated almost completely before we moved in! We still need baseboards and a few decorative touches, but we’re almost there. 🙂 Lots of people have asked how we did our kitchen and where we got the materials. The cabinets are Malibu White shaker style from Cabinets To Go with black knobs and handles from IKEA. Our countertop is maple butcher block also from Cabinets To Go…

When Mark and I first bought this house, the overwhelming feeling we had was that this was a home to celebrate Christmas in! This is what the house look like the first Christmas we had it. We were living in our rowhouse while we had the entire front brick facade redone. Now that we’re in the house and making it our home…we are decking it out for Christmas! Yinz Give Back!

Friends, it’s time to give back! I think a lot of us feel weird about this holiday season. It’s not the same as years past, and it doesn’t feel right to just buy more stuff that we probably don’t need. COVID-19 has decimated communities and households who will be forever changed. Lots of you reached out and shared some amazing organizations in Western PA that are helping families get through this. Below are lists of…

Weekly Roundup of Our Favorites!

Hi friends! Here’s what we’re loving, watching, eating and obsessing over this week! This Hulk costume at Walmart. It’s Henry’s favorite and he’s wearing it for Halloween. Here’s a SpiderMan one and a Captain America. Currently obsessed with this new Threshold quilt I got for our bed. It’s faux fur on one side and so soft and it’s perfect for fall and winter! The extra long lumbar pillow is a new favorite too. Both are…

Everything We Bought For Our Home (so far!) That We Love!

Hello friends! Lots of new followers on Instagram and Facebook so I wanted to revisit some of our favorite items that we’ve purchased in our home renovation journey. Camel bar stools. We LOVE these and got them on Wayfair. They’re easy to put together, look really chic and I just wipe them with a wet cloth when Henry spills all his food and drinks on them! Firework chandelier. This is a recent purchase for us,…

Am I Too Old To Have A Baby?

Should I have another baby? Will I even be able to conceive?! THESE are the questions I’m trying to answer, my friends. I’m about to turn 38 years old (with a 43-year-old husband) and the issue of FERTILITY is a weekly discussion in our house. Since I’m in my late 30s and considered “geriatric” by the medical community, in terms of pregnancy, I figured I should talk to an expert to see if I have…
